whiny style

Exactly a year ago today, I posted this here blog. I now own 6 of the things on the list of things I wanted. That was fun :)

I am so very grateful for everything I have. It's lame but having my car break down is teaching me a few much needed lessons.
  • No ones life or schedule revolves around me.
  • People will not always offer, do not be afraid to ask.
  • Pioneers walked, and walked, and walked. I can too.
  • Riding your bike to work does not justify eating a butterfinger. Sorry.
Last night my mom and I went to a baby shower for my long time friend Kelsie. She is so dang cute and it is always fun to go back to her house and remember all the things we did when we were little. I remember I was really sad when her family moved out of our neighborhood. Kelsie was my best friend and we played every single day. I loved riding down the stairs in a sleeping bag. Marsha (her mom) would always make me sandwiches with mustard and I used to hate mustard but she told me that someday I'd like it. (I do now, but only because Seth puts it on literally everything and I was forced to give it another chance. Mustard ain't so bad :)) After the shower my mom had a meeting so she just dropped me off at her house. I was going to make the boy take me to trax but dad offered a ride home and why would I say no? We stopped and got ice cream on the way. I love my family. As my dad was dropping me off he specifically said, "Do you have your keys?" Yes dad of course I do, DUH. They drove away and I walked slowly to my house while I dug around in the 3 big bags I was carrying for my keys. Crap. Crap Crap. Crap. No keys.
Lisas phone is off. Crap.
Back door is locked too! Crap!
Hmmm.... So I called Seth and he was kind to bike down to my house and help me break in. Thank you thank you thank you. I thought I might pee my pants!

Thank you to everyone who loves me and takes good care of me.

dolphins are mammals?

Once upon a time, I lived with 4 cats. Four Whole Cats! It was a very happy time in my life. It came to pass when Sarah and I decided we needed to rent out the extra room in our humble apartment. I knew just the man. He was deaf, and therefore would be a quiet respectful roommate. He was living on the west side paying almost 800 for a 1 bedroom. I had to save him, not only from the west side but from the extreme cost of his mediocre apartment. So he packed up everything he had and shoved it in his Subaru. It was a very interesting thing you know, introducing our 2 cats to his 2 cats. It wasn't necessarily peaceful at first either.

I wish I hadnt been talking the whole way through that video, so sorry about that. I just wanted him to like me, and he did, it just took time.

See look how happy he was :)
I am sad to say I have no pictures of Koko. She was a quiet private kitty. Always hiding.

4 cats = loads of poop.

Funny...

After my post this morning, about my children... I decided to go through my backlog of posts to find out if I made one exactly a year ago and what it was about. It sure is fun to go back and read everything I wrote.

But here is the post from one year ago today, and it is not surprising to me that I still blog about the exact same things.

no man knows my....

Kitties.

A walrus perhaps?

We had a fun little BBQ party for Sarah and Seths birthday last Saturday. It was a great success and we had a lovely time. I got rather sunburned though so that part wasn't fun.  It was great to have Sarah here for a bit. I'm real excited she'll be back this summer.

I recently went to the Animal farm place out at Thanksgiving point with Meg and Ryd and AJ accompanied us as well. We originally went to see the tulips but we ended up seeing animals instead. I think Ryder was much more pleased than he would have been with flowers.

So that was good times.  Kids are funny. I don't like most of them but I can think of a select few who have grown on me and I feel that special unconditional love for them.

We had a yard/bake sale on Saturday and it was great!  My mom made a ton of treats and all the people in the ward donated so much stuff.  I think they raised quite a bit of money.  So hooray and thanks to everyone who came.

It was also my Papas birthday this past week.  Happy birthday to you! I love you so much :) Unfortunately I had a 3 hour training at work that evening so I was unable to spend any time with them =/ I know he doesn't like to make a big fuss over these sorts of things anyway but still It would have been nice to be together.

ugly casanova

So I spent 32 dollars on a brand new litter box:
Cool, right? Look how fancy that is. I was so excited for my babies to go poo in a spaceship. They have special steps to walk up and down! How awesome! Cat fantasy for sure.  My main reasoning for buying it was this:
- I needed something with a lid so they would stop flicking litter/turds on the ground
- I assumed a lid would help eliminate some odors.

I was wrong, and wrong. They can still happily flick turds onto the carpet. Or hey maybe they actually pick them up and bring them out to the carpet just to make me frown. I think it actually smells worse in my room now than it did before. I change the litter every other day.  These guys shit like maniacs. I may have to start limiting their food intake.  I really just need to move out so I can put the litter box somewhere other than my bedroom, that would be awesome.

I finally uploaded the pictures from my camera from AZ...

Making Crepes!
Mom sewed her band-aid to Livs dress. It was really funny.

Mom after Liv did her hair :)
For some reason the only pictures I got of Kate were with her head up camilles dress. So because I love her, I didnt post them!

boodydo

Sorry about the last post. I didn't mean to be a downer. I'm happy! I was just having one of those weird existential what is the life for moments. We all have those don't we? I knew it.

It has been so great having Megan home for the past month.  I'm so sad to see her leave again but i'm way too excited for her to stay sad :)

She makes me happy.  Speaking of people who make me happy. Sarah is here!! hey giiiiiirl.  Lets play today. And tomorrow. And the next day. Ok thaaaanks!!

Yesterday was Seth's birthday. He is 25! We rode around for a little bit and then headed for sushi at Takashi.  Ummm I ate too much. Normally I cant finish even 1 roll but I think I put down at least 3.  Nice... It was fun though.  So gorgeous outside.  After dinner there was chocolate mousse (a huge failure on my part) and some ice cream.  It was a good day.

It's going to be an interesting weekend, i'll have more photos to post.
